Welcome to The Laramie Plains Civic Center

A community fostering connections, nurturing creativity, and ensuring an enriched future.

The Laramie Plains Civic Center, Wyoming’s first brick schoolhouse and one of Laramie’s oldest structures, is an anchor institution with a long history of enriching the lives of Albany County. The property, built in 1878,  has served as a destination for the arts, education, recreation, and community resources for nearly 150 years. Today, the non-profit organization serves as a community fostering connections, nurturing creativity, and ensuring an enriched future with a vision to cultivate a vibrant and inclusive space for people to gather, connect, and grow.

Your Year-End Gift Powers Community

This year, the Laramie Plains Civic Center became the heartbeat of our community. Thanks to our supporters, we housed 95+ tenant organizations, supported 300+ artists, and hosted hundreds of cultural events that brought Laramie together.
