THE north “Kenny Sailors” gym
Mixed-use space for group fitness, events, and drop-in use
The gym is named in honor of Kenny Sailors, a graduate of Laramie High School when it occupied the building, and famously led the University of Wyoming Cowboys basketball team to the NCAA Men's Basketball Championship in 1943.
The North “Kenny Sailors” Gym is located on the first floor of the Laramie Plains Civic Center and is best accessed through the North entrance. This public facility, dedicated to Laramie’s beloved inventor of the jump shot and former student from the building’s days as a school, hosts open gym hours for free public access and is best used for group fitness, intramural activities, and mid-sized events.

RULES
Food and beverages are allowed
Alcohol may be served with proper city permitting
Decorations must be non-damaging to the space and removed after rental use
Misuse or sharing of unique access codes for repeat renters is not permitted. Violators will not be welcomed back for rental use.
COST
Facility Fee: $50 per hour; $250 day rate
PA System: $100
Tables and Chairs (self-setup): $100
OPEN GYM
This gym is open for free public use Monday - Friday and is marked on the calendar below with “Open Gym.” The community is welcome to use this space respectfully during these times.
